Who We Are
Cornerstone Baptist Church has been a place of worship, community, and service in Slaughterville, Oklahoma for generations. We are a congregation rooted in Scripture, committed to one another, and open to all.
Our History
Generations of Faithful Witness
Cornerstone Baptist Church started in 1984 as Slaughterville Baptist Mission. It was a new church plant by Maguire Baptist Church with the support of Union Baptist Association. In 1987 the mission church incorporated and became Slaughterville Baptist Church, and in 2022, the church was renamed to Cornerstone Baptist Church. Out of this local Church, God has placed His call on many who would become… pastors, deacons, missionaries, ministers, professionals, and faithful servants.
Through the decades, Cornerstone has weathered seasons of growth and seasons of trial — always returning to the anchor of Scripture and the fellowship of the saints. We are grateful for every family, every faithful member, and every pastor who has shaped this congregation into what it is today.
Today we continue that legacy — welcoming new faces, discipling the next generation, and serving our neighbors with the love of Christ.
What We Believe
Our Core Beliefs
We hold to the historic Baptist faith, grounded in the authority of Scripture and the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God — our sole authority for faith and practice.
The Trinity
We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Salvation by Grace
We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone — not by works.
The Church
We believe the local church is a body of baptized believers, gathered to worship, grow, and serve together.
Baptism & the Lord's Supper
We practice believer's baptism by immersion and observe the Lord's Supper as ordinances of the church.
The Return of Christ
We believe in the personal, bodily return of Jesus Christ and the resurrection of the dead.

Our pastor leads Cornerstone Baptist with a deep love for Scripture and a shepherd's heart for the congregation. He is committed to expository preaching, personal discipleship, and serving the Slaughterville and neighboring communities.
